The Pierce County AIDS Walk has raised nearly 40% of their goal and they need our help! If you are unfamiliar the event, it is in its 15th year raising money to help prevent the spread of HIV infection. The walk will be taking place on Saturday, September 9 at the University of Washington Tacoma Campus. You can help this great cause in any number of ways.
You can sponsor a walker or team or sign up for the walk and we can all sponsor you!
. . .More About the Pierce County AIDS Foundation:
In nineteen years of community service, the Pierce County AIDS Foundation has served tens of thousands of individuals through its prevention education efforts, as well as over 1,650 clients. Every month, approximately seven new clients are served by PCAF.
The expanding number of people surviving with HIV calls for a sustained need for health and social services, and an increased emphasis on prevention education.

Thank you so much for helping to get the word out on this very important community event.
I’m pleased to inform the commmunity that as of today (10/12/06), over $129,000 has been raised to help provide HIV/AIDS prevention education and care programs to Pierce County. This is an amazing show of community commitment to fighting our community’s epidemic, and it comes at a time when Pierce County continues to have the highest rate of new HIV infections and the second highest incidence of AIDS in all of Washington.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
