Winter Storm Crosby!
Well I hope everyone is safe and sound! Our neighbors woke us up at 1:45am or so because the enormous tree in our front yard gave way and crashed into the house across the street. Everyone’s safe and nobody was hurt but it was quite the scare. If the wind had been blowing the opposite direction our house would have easily split in two. It’s hard enough sharing the bed with the dog and cat, spooning a 150ft fir is not my idea of fun. I don’t know why winter storms don’t get named the same way hurricanes do, but I decided to go ahead and name this one after legendary Tacoman Bing Crosby. It’s so close to Christmas it seemed fitting. How’d your neighborhood hold up?

I had no idea that you lived just a couple of blocks away. I have pics posted of the tree that came down from your front yard before I knew it was your front yard! Always thought your house was beautiful and admired the gorgeous trees in your yard. Sounds like you and your neighbords are OK, just the tree and part of a house as casualties. Glad to hear that you and yours are safe.
